Innofactor Plc Press release 1st of June, 2026, 9:00 Swedish time

Innofactor, through Innofactor Code Oy, has been awarded a contract by the Vehicle Authority of Åland for the delivery of a modern and future-proof system solution for the authority's central registers.

The assignment covers the development and implementation of a long-term and sustainable system platform for several mission-critical registers, including customer registers, vehicle registers (including type information), boat registers, mortgage registers, and transport permit registers. The new solution will form a central part of the Vehicle Authority's system support for registration and inspection operations.

The procured solution is designed to meet high requirements for functionality, quality, and regulatory compliance in line with applicable legislation and the public sector's need for modern and sustainably maintainable systems.

"This is a strategic and highly significant assignment for us. We look forward to working together with the Vehicle Authority to develop a stable, secure, and flexible solution that supports the continued development and digitalisation of their operations," says Marko Lybeck, Managing Director of Innofactor Code Oy.

The procurement was carried out as a negotiated procedure in accordance with EU Directive 2014/24/EU, where both quality and price were key evaluation criteria.
The Vehicle Authority sought a partner with proven experience in developing mission-critical systems for the public sector – an area in which Innofactor holds a strong position through extensive expertise in digitalisation, information management, and business-critical solutions.

"We are pleased to begin our collaboration with Innofactor on the development of our central register systems. The new solution gives us improved capabilities to meet future demands for efficiency, security, and service for both citizens and operations," says Per Eriksson, Director of the Vehicle Authority of Åland.

"We are proud of the trust we have been given and look forward to a close and long-term collaboration where we together create a solution that meets both today's and tomorrow's needs," continues Marko Lybeck of Innofactor Code Oy.

Through this agreement, Innofactor further strengthens its position as a leading partner in digital transformation in the Nordics, particularly within the public sector, where requirements for security, transparency, and efficiency are essential.
