The Swedish trade union Kommunal renews and expands continuous services and support agreement with Innofactor

The Swedish trade union Kommunal has renewed and expanded its continuous services and support agreement with Innofactor as partner for maintenance and further development of their membership system and related services. The service scope has been expanded, now including maintenance of Kommunal's Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution and integration suite based on Microsoft BizTalk Server. The agreement will start on July 1, 2018. The total purchase value is in minimum approximately 2.8 million Euros and in maximum approximately 5.2 million Euros during 2018 to 2021.

The membership system is a central service and information system for Kommunal enabling it to provide a full range of services to its members including membership management, contract management, and account management functionality. The membership system is built on Innofactor´s Membership Management Solution (MMS), based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM technology.

Kommunal has more than 500,000 members in approximately 230 different occupations. The majority of Kommunal's members work in local government, but the union is also seeing steady growth among private sector employees. The trade union Kommunal is there to defend the interests of its members on the labour market and in society in general. Kommunal is seeking to ensure good terms of employment and working conditions, a good work environment, and that members are given influence, training and opportunities for development. Kommunal has a strong involvement at international level, where they are striving to improve terms and conditions for members and employees in Sweden and employees in other parts of the world. It pursues these activities through different international trade union organisations and in ways such as seeking to influence the decisions made at EU level.
