In a recent project delivery, Innofactor's Infrastructure team successfully implemented an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solution for Elmera Group, enabling their customer support team to securely access a range of internal applications, including web-based and desktop-based programs. This implementation not only provided a cost-effective replacement for the Citrix on-prem solution they had, but also included a comprehensive cost management tracking and optimization solution. The AVD environment was customized to incorporate new programs, open different file types, and adjust firewall rules. Furthermore, Innofactor expanded the session host to the host pool to accommodate increased user capacity and enhance solution performance. Additionally, an image builder was established to manage the golden image of the AVD environment and devised a plan to automate the image creation process using Terraform and Packer. Innofactor's managed services team ensures the efficient operation and monitoring of the AVD solution, while also providing Elmera with the necessary expertise in AVD management. This successful deployment exemplifies our experts' commitment to delivering tailored, cost-effective, and efficient cloud solutions to our clients.
